Janine’s 20+ years of experience includes being the Chairperson of Barengi Gadjin Land Council RNTBC, member of the Victorian Traditional Owner Settlement Framework Executive Committee, member of the National Heritage Trust’s Indigenous Advisory Committee, and being a member of the Victorian Treaty Interim Working Group.

Since 2013 she has been the Chairperson of the Federation of Victorian Traditional Owner Corporations.

Janine’s interests lie in community conflict and dispute resolution and she believes that building and reclaiming cultural foundations are critical to survival. She feels privileged to be in a position to promote these foundations, and is determined to leave a legacy for generations to come.
