Fit-out for PM&C

1 National Circuit, Canberra

In October 2017, Barpa successfully completed a fit-out project for Prime Minister & Cabinet at 1 National Circuit, Canberra. The scope included a revised office lay-out, new workstations and high security communications works.

ANSTO Waste Management Services Building Extension

Lucas Heights, NSW

Barpa was engaged by the Australia Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) to construct an extension to the Waste Management Services Building.
The extension comprises eight new below ground storage pits, some 11 metres deep to store Intermediate Level Solid Waste (ILSW). The pits were constructed within the sandstone bedrock. The extension is a steel framed structure.
In addition to the building extension, the project also enhances the security and operability of the building with a new aerated concrete panel façade – Hebel wall, to replace the existing metal cladding. New mechanical and hydraulics services were installed while the existing electrical and fire services were upgraded.
The existing roof sheeting was replaced and incorporated skylights and roof turbine ventilators.
All works were completed while the facility was in operation

DHS Palm Island Office Refurbishment

Aboriginal Shire of Palm Island, Queensland

The refurbishment of the Centrelink Office in Main Street, Palm Island included new floor finishes, workstations, internal painting and minor electrical and communication works.

To ensure no disruption to the services provided to the Palm Island community, works were required to be completed over a weekend.  This required a high degree of coordination and flexibility by the Barpa site team, their suppliers and trade contractors.
